New Macbook Air coming ?
If you are looking at getting yourself a Macbook Air, rumor has it that the Macbook Air is going to get a new heart all together, the new Penryn chip.
The Macbook Air has been on the news for quite some time, spotting Apple’s move introducing something more under performance compared to the Macbook line. The previous Macbook Air is based on a low powered customized chip codename Merom. The new Macbook Air’s Penryn Core 2 Duo processor will replace the current Merom chip.
It is also rumored at the same time that the new Macbook Air will have a 120GB hard disk drive, with an option of a 160GB hard disk drive.
The upgrade itself will have its downside. With the increase processing power, and perhaps a bigger hard drive, the Macbook Air would suffer in terms of their battery life. Although the Penryn microprocessor is capable of bring better performance to the Macbook Air, it is also increasing the power consumption in the exchange.
